Open Mic: A Call to Gather, Reflect, Share Experiences and Strengthen Our Resistance!

by Cut Ties With Genocide

We have borne witness to this genocide. We have stood up, joined forces, and have become part of a global resistance movement for a Free Palestine. We have protested, disrupted and faced the structures of oppression. But we also have failed. We have been unprepared, we have fallen into reactive politics, symbolic actions that missed their target.

Now, more than ever, our movements should become self-critical, adaptable and relentless. That’s how we can keep resisting what appears as inevitable.

This event is a space to share experiences, reflections, words of empowerment but most importantly it is also about hearing each other collectively. We invite you to participate whether you want to read a poem, share a thought or something funny, or you want to vent on feeling a sense of stagnation and powerlessness.

On Sat 22 Feb at 20.30, we are gathering at the concert hall in UngdomsHuset and it is upon you if you want to stand in front of your comrades and open up or have us reading something on your behalf. You can do the latter by submitting the form here https://cryptpad.fr/form/#/2/form/view/kU0lIuZ4Ja…

Here is some inspiration:

❤️‍🔥Moments when we find ourselves caught in the grip of systems that shape our collective movements, workspaces, and individual lives, without us even realizing their influence.

❤️‍🔥That conversation with your german comrade that did not go well and the eventual turnaround.

❤️‍🔥Do we all agree our strategy is working? How do we talk about it?

❤️‍🔥How we sometimes find ourselves enjoying the system, where our needs are met and behaviors are subtly encouraged, leaving little room for opposition or dissent.

❤️‍🔥The repetition of resistance strategies and the question of whether these methods truly serve our objectives, or if they have become stale and ineffective despite our continued and motivated participation.

❤️‍🔥How systemic norms within workplaces, though often abstract, influence our interactions with comrades, as these norms are internalized and passed on, shaping our collective actions in ways that may not always align with our revolutionary goals
