Queer Impro Theater at Folketshus

by Folkets Impro Theater

Join us to play some impro theater with other queers, punks and comrades, on the second floor of Folketshus.

Impro theater is an art form where the players make up the theater on the spot through guided games and scenes. Impro is also simply pure laughter and pleasure, where you allow yourself to play pretend with friends and comrades, just because it's fun.

Please be on time, as the introduction is an important part of each session!

Ground rules of Folkets Hus impro theater:
1. We support each other,
2. We don’t misgender people, and let people gender themselves if play a different gender than they are,
3. We don’t touch each other intimately, violently or “uncasually” unless we specifically ask for permission,
4. We don’t casually play scenes of violence or trauma unless we have cleared it with each other first,
5. We debrief the scene afterward, both collective and interpersonnally,
6. There is no pressure to perform, and we will wait for your initiative.

This is a free event open to everyone, with no prior experience of impro needed. We are a group of queer, non-professional facilitators, ready to improvise with all of you through hilarious exercises and games. The impro is queer but open to all. We aim to create a cozy, comfortable, and fun space, free of judgement, where everyone participates and cheers each other.

Come and improvise with us!
