Sexual violence as a Weapon of Genocide in Palestine

by Studerende mod Besættelsen

We’re honored to announce an event in collaboration MIFTAH, an independent Palestinian NGO, operating all over the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, which disseminates the Palestinian narrative using a gendered lens. While Israeli violations affect all Palestinains alike, their documentation and advocacy focus on how they affect women in a gender specific manner.

Together with Khadeja, a Palestinian activist and International Advocacy Coordinator at MIFTAH and Bara’a, a human rights activist who was recently released from an Israeli prison, we’re going to discuss the NGO’s latest findings on sexual violence as a weapon of genocide.

The discussion will be supplemented by Giti Chandra, a research specialist at the Institute for Gender, Equality, and Difference at the University of Iceland, who will connect this to her field of research and expertise. There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions as the talks will be followed by a Q&A.

Join us for this urgent and intersectional topic and take all your friends with you!
