Solidarity event every Monday evening at 7pm at "Vaglið" until there is a ceasefire in Gaza.

Although everything suggests that the Israel is carrying out an ethnic cleansing of Palestinians in Gaza, the international community has so far failed to demand a ceasefire. Even Faroese politicians remain passive and ambiguous about where they stand. This even though international human rights experts for months have warned us about the unfolding genocide in Gaza, and even though South Africa now has taken legal steps at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) accusing Israel of breaking the Genocide Convention.

We meet for a moment in solidarity with the Palestinian people. There are usually 1-2 speeches and then we have a cup of tea/coffee and chat about the current situation.

Hóast alt bendir á, at ísraelsa stjórnin er farin undir eina etniska útreinsan av palestinska fólkinum, megnar altjóða samfelagið ikki at standa saman um at krevja vápnahvíld. Sjálvt okkara politikarar í Føroyum eru passivir og ógreiðir, um hvar teir standa. Vit hittast til eina samhugaløtu, har vit hoyra 1-2 røður, upplestur og/ella okkurt annað innslag. Síðan er møguligt at steðga á eina løtu til óformelt prát um støðuna afturvið einum drekkamunni

Um man ynskir at siga nøkur orð, spæla eitt lag ella at koma við onkrum øðrum til skránna, er man vælkomin at seta seg í samband við okkum.
