#StopEACOP Support Concert x Users x Telus
Come sing, shout, and stand in solidarity with activists fighting on the front lines of the climate crisis against the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP). On this night amazing upcoming artists will share the stage to spotlight this crucial fight for climate justice.
In Uganda and Tanzania, fossil fuel giant Total and the China National Offshore Oil Corporation are building the largest heated crude oil pipeline in the world. EACOP would displace communities, endanger wildlife, and lock in continued fossil fuel use for decades. The world cannot afford new fossil fuel developments if we are to avoid catastrophic climate change.
Activists on the ground in East Africa are resisting the pipeline but are recieving harsh repression from authorities and need support. That’s why 100% of ticket sales from Sound of Solidarity will be directed to #StopEACOP activists working with Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke (Action Aid Denmark).
