Spring is here! Why not refresh our wardrobes in a sustainable way? Come and join our Swap Circle - a day of happenings and workshops on sustainability - all in support of Migrantcirklen, Copenhagen’s refugee community and its users of asylum seekers.
The day will be filled with activities for all ages, as well as a small introduction to Migrantcirklen’s work for refugees, migrants and asylum seekers in Denmark.
WHY
Swapping clothes is a great, sustainable alternative to buying something new.
By swapping clothes instead of purchasing new ones, we can reduce textile waste and decrease the demand for new production by extending the life of your garments. We’ll also be supporting a good cause!
Any leftover clothes in good condition will be donated to the families of Migrantcirklen’s users living in asylum centres - hereby ensuring that your pre-loved items continue to make a positive impact!
HOW DOES IT WORK?

PROGRAM
10:00 - Doors open
13:00 - 15:00 - Clothing repair workshop by Amalie Seiffert: Practice sustainability and give your clothes new life. At the workshop you’ll be introduced to different repair methods and techniques. Bring along any clothes that need some stitching! 🪡
The workshop will be facilitated in English, with the possibility of translation in Danish and Arabic.

Foråret er kommet! Hvorfor ikke forny vores garderober på en bæredygtig måde? Kom og bliv en del af vores Swap Circle - en dag fyldt med events og workshops om bæredygtighed - alt sammen til støtte for Migrantcirklen, Københavns medborgersted for flygtninge, migranter, og asylansøgere, og dets brugere.
Dagen vil være fyldt med aktiviteter for alle aldre, samt en lille introduktion til Migrantcirklen’s arbejde for flygtninge, migranter og asylansøgere i Danmark.
HVORFOR
At bytte tøj er et fantastisk, bæredygtigt alternativ til at købe noget nyt.
Ved at bytte tøj i stedet for at købe nyt, kan vi reducere tekstilaffald og mindske efterspørgslen på ny produktion ved at forlænge levetiden på vores tøj. Vi støtter også en god sag!
Eventuelt resterende tøj i god stand vil blive doneret til familierne af Migrantcirklen’s brugere, som bor på asylcentre - og dermed sikrer vi, at dine pre-loved artikler fortsat kan skabe glæde!

13:00 - 15:00 - Tøjreparations-workshop med Amalie Seiffert: Øv bæredygtighed og giv dit tøj nyt liv. På workshoppen vil du blive introduceret til forskellige reparationsmetoder og teknikker. Medbring tøj, der trænger til lidt syning! 🪡
Workshops vil blive afholdt på engelsk, med mulighed for oversættelse til dansk og arabisk.
