Clothing Swap

Do you want some nice new clothing but are out of money after all the ice creams and trips during the summer? Would you like to contribute to a sustainable movement? Then this clothing swap is for you!
Our super excited and reloaded MS Clothing Swap works in the following way:
1. Bring a garment from your wardrobe that you no longer wear*
2. Choose other garments you love
3. Give it a new life and home
* If you do not have any clothes that you want to swap in, you can always just drop by the cafe and pick up new clothes anyway
Note: Clothing brought to the event must be clean and in good condition.
This event belongs to the Climate Justice Days.
- The textile industry is the third largest consumer of water in the world. For instance, one cotton shirt uses approximately 2,700 liters of water. Danes averagely consume 16 kilos of clothing every year.
- The clothing industry is the second most polluting industry - just after oil - due to an enormous use of pesticides.
- Clothing production is responsible for 10 percent of the global emission of CO2. More than half of the clothing we don't use anymore is thrown out as garbage. The burning of it thus increases the global CO2 emission.
This means that recycling and reusing makes a huge difference.

1. Medbring en beklædningsgenstand fra din garderobe, som du ikke længere bruger*
2. Vælg noget tøj fra vores event, som du elsker
3. Tag det udvalgte tøj med hjem; giv det et nyt liv og hjem
*Har du ikke noget tøj, som du ønsker at aflevere, kan du altid bare kigge forbi cafeen og tage noget tøj med hjem.
Bemærk: Tøj medbragt til arrangementet skal være rent og i god stand.
Denne begivenhed er tilknyttet Climate Justice Days.
- Tekstilindustrien er den industri med det tredjestørste forbrug af vand i verden. For eksempel skal der bruges cirka 2.700 liter vand til produktionen af en bomuldsskjorte. Danskerne har et forbrug på gennemsnitligt 16 kg tøj hvert år.
- Tøjindustrien er den anden mest forurenende industri - lige efter olie - på grund af et enormt brug af pesticider.
- Tøjproduktion er ansvarlig for 10 % af den globale CO2-udledning. Mere end halvdelen af det tøj, vi ikke bruger mere, bliver smidt ud som affald. Afbrændingen heraf øger dermed den globale CO2-udledning.
Det betyder, at genbrug og genanvendelse gør en kæmpe forskel.
