The Climate Café is just around the corner, and we're excited to invite you to this month's event!
This month's topic will focus on the Earth Overshoot Day.
Overshoot day marks the day when our resource consumption for the year exceeds the Earth’s capacity to regenerate those resources that year. While Denmark will have used all it’s resources by the end of March, other countries’ overshoot day is only in December or they even manage to use less resources than the Earth has to regenerate.
It's important to note that carbon footprints vary greatly. However, how good are we at guessing the carbon footprints of the poor and the wealthy? In this talk, Stefan shows that people significantly misperceive carbon footprints and explains the human psychology behind it. After the talk, we’ll have joint discussion rounds allowing everybody to engage and share their thoughts and ideas.
Join us every last Thursday of the month for our Climate Café where we create an inspiring space for a wider audience to learn and discuss relevant issues related to climate and environmental challenges, and how to contribute to positive change.
The event takes place in The Commons which is the big room underneath Café Mellemfolk.
