Bogcaféen, Barrikaden, har åbent
Ungdomshusets bogcafé, Barrikaden, har et omfattende anarkistisk og venstreradikalt bibliotek med alt fra samfundskritiske analyser og biografier til tegneserier og kogebøger.
Derudover har vi også et stort arkiv fra den radikale venstrefløjs historie i Danmark, samt fra store dele af verden. Arkivet rummer især udgivelser såsom zines, blade og aviser. Man kan ikke låne materiale fra arkivet med hjem, men man kan kigge i arkivmaterialet i Barrikadens åbningstid eller efter aftale.
Her kan du ligeledes købe venstreradikal litteratur, zines og plakater, samt politiske t-shirts, pins, hoodies, patches og børnetøj, inklusiv brætspil, film og musik fra bl.a. bands som har spillet i Ungdomshuset.
Men for det meste fungerer bogcaféen som et hyggested for alle, både aktivister fra store dele af venstrefløjen og åbensindede gæster som gerne vil møde ligesindede og have et sted for at snakke og hygge.
For nyankomne er Barrikaden en hyppig indgangsvinkel for at lære mere eller blive del af huset, og vi svarer på mange spørgsmål om Ungdomshusenes historie, hvordan huset fungerer, aktuelle begivenheder, koncerter, vegansk folkekøkkener, værksteder og alt muligt andet!
Vi holder åben hver mandag og torsdag fra 17.00-19.00.

The book café of the “Youth House” (Ungdomhuset) called Barrikaden, has an extensive anarchist and left-wing radical library with everything from socially critical analyses and biographies to comics and cookbooks.
In addition, we also have a large archive from the history of the radical left in Denmark, as well as from large parts of the world. The archive mainly contains publications such as zines, magazines and newspapers. You cannot borrow material from the archive to take home, but you can look in the archive material during the café’s opening hours or by appointment.
You can also buy left-wing radical literature, zines and posters, as well as political t-shirts, pins, hoodies, patches and children's clothes, plus board games, movies and music from bands that have played in Ungdomshuset.
But for the most part, the book café serves as a cozy place for everyone, both activists from large parts of the left and open-minded guests who want to meet like-minded people and have a place to talk and socialize.
For newcomers, Barrikaden, is a frequent approach for learning more and be part of the house and we answer many questions about the history of Ungdomshuset, how the house works, current events, concerts, vegan community kitchens, repair shops and everything else!
We are open every Monday and Thursday from 17.00-19.00.
