Anti-Ethnography

by Cinemateket

For indigenous people the camera is a dangerous weapon, one that has been wielded against them since the inception of the device. The works assembled for this screening explore the power of indigenous people claiming the camera for themselves. The short film program is curated by Ojibway artist and filmmaker Adam Khalil. Artists Julie Edel Hardenberg and Katrine Dirckinck-Holmfeld will be in conversation with Adam Khalil about artistic activist strategies and consequences.
