Wet Body Fictions
Workshop by Teo Ala-Ruona & Even Minn
WET BODY FICTIONS WORKSHOP
In this workshop, we feel our body's juiciness and imagine its fictional potential through writing exercises and somatic practices. We work with sea sponges, drinking water and fruits.
The workshop mixes somatic exercises with speculative body fiction. Can you look for pleasure in these water-loving bodily explorations? You are invited to write wet and juicy texts that excite you and move with them.
As writers and somatic explorers, we aim towards scenarios and experiences that make us feel our bodies’ moisture and lusciousness. Some of the texts will also be read out loud.
The workshop is in English, but everyone is welcome to write in any language they prefer. The workshop is intended for all artists interested in creative writing and somatic fiction. You are free to choose what you write with (pen, phone, computer etc.).
Dansekapellet is accessible to anyone. There are disabled parking facilities 30 metres from the entrance, and the entrance is level-free. The venue has accessible toilets and is smooth to enter from the streets. Public transport (bus lines 4A and 6A) is located very close to the venue.
