Defending territory in the Andean Amazon

Join us for a conversation with Soraida Chindoy.
Soraida is an indigenous woman of the Inga people that live in the Colombian Andean-Amazon. She has been an active territorial defender of the andean-amazon territory, particularly (though not exclusively) in relation to a copper mine project owned by a Canadian company whose license overlaps with her community's territory. Currently, there is a consultation process ongoing which is not exactly a panacea. In fact, there is a lot going on!
The meeting is held on the first floor of Folkets Hus. It will be in Spanish, with translation to English.
After the presentation and conversation, there will be Colombian empanadas, drinks and music in the Café.
